The Fudokai Aikido Dojo practices a traditional Ueshiba form of Aikido in Norwich, Norfolk, UK.

Our teaching is based around the premise that the techniques of Aikido are not an end in themselves but exist to teach and practice the principles underlying Aikido.

The Fudokai Aikido Dojo is a member of Shobu Aikido UK and thereby also a member of the British Aikido Board - the body recognised by the Sports Council for the administration of Aikido in the UK.

August Bank Holiday

Monday 30^th August is a Bank Holiday. Accordingly the Fudokai Aikido Dojo will not be holding a class - the next class will be Monday 6^th September.

For homework members can practice 1^st, 4^th and 5^th bokken suburi which Mike has been teaching over the past couple of weeks.

BAB National Course

Saturday 9th October 2010

The BAB has announced details of their Annual National Course to be held in October. All BAB members (and this includes members of the Fudokai Aikido Dojo) are welcome to attend.

These courses have a selection of instructors from various national Aikdo groups so this is a good place to find out what the various organisations are about.

Rescheduled class

The class for Monday 26^th July has been rescheduled for Wednesday 28^th July.

This booking has been confirmed with Costessey Parish Council, so I'd appreciate it if those people who said they would (or at least could) make it do actually turn up for this class.

The class will be at our normal times of 7:15 pm - 9:15 pm.

Broadland Aikido - Big 3 Course 2010

Broadland Aikido (Frank Burlingham 5th Dan) is once again holding their annual 'Big 3' Aikido course. These days the instructors also come from outside the UK so it's now the 'International Big 3' Aikido course.
Unfortunately the dates conflict with the Shobu AIkido Summer School (24 - 27 July) but ...
